ProLeiT AG and Mitsubishi Electric have reautomated the technical study brewhouse at the Faculty for Dispersal Systems with the brewmaxx process control system based on the Mitsubishi Melsec System Q. The brewhouse serves for the examination of procedural Unit Operations of brewhouse processes on the scale of the technical study college. The studies focus on the process steps of mashing, purging and wort cooking. In addition, they represent practice-oriented examples which familiarize students with the basic principles of mixing and stirring, solid/liquid separation along with vaporization processes. This sample project will be presented at SPS/IPC/Drives in order to demonstrate how the use of preconfigured system software can make project planning and commissioning both simpler and safer.  Lecture at the MESAGO Congress on November 23, 2010, 10:00 a.m.: Modernization of the brewhouse at TUM Weihenstephan University - René Leven, ProLeiT AG.
